I have not drawn fuck-all in a while.
Listen Amon, I know you’re trying to start a revolution here but those special inks you want for your new propaganda posters might not be within your budget.
(I have problems)
Lawl. So, I decided that making a joke fan character for Legend of Korra would be fun, I made her a printing press shop girl named Jai after sitting around for a while and wondering how they would have printed the flyers from episode 3 (I was wondering about the technicalities because I actually take print production classes in school). She would basically be super cranky all day having to primarily deal with Equalists coming into the shop to print of their propaganda and argue with them about errors in their spelling/artwork or over job price quotes.
I thought it would be neat to make her an ‘inkbender’. She’s basically an earthbender that uses the ore based pigments in the ink, but moves more like a waterbender because of the nature of ink (maybe she had an waterbending mama?).
I wanted to dress her from head to toe in pink really badly, but I figure she’d probably just wear earth tones and neutrals because she works with inks all day and probably stains everything. I did give her tiny touches of pink though.
Wow. For a joke character, I put waaaay too much thought into her. She’s been good for getting me to doodle though, this is the most I’ve drawn in DAYS.
Finished my shoebox!
It’s covered in manga panels from old issues of Shojo Beat and the bottom is decorative scrapbook paper.
Oh hey, it’s not a drawing but here’s a shoebox I redecorated to put some art supplies in.
Oh look, I’m attempting to open myself up for commissions again. Please read the information below thoroughly if you’re considering. I’m trying to help counter the project production costs involved in my program (just by a little bit). I’m going to open up 3 slots and see if I get any…
Been having a difficult time drawing all of yesterday and today. Anyhow, she ain’t done and I probably won’t touch this much more but this is my attempt at a ‘steamPUNK’ girl. Emphasis on the punk. I figure she’s half Scottish, half Pawnee (apparently the Pawnee were the ones more likely to have the ‘mohawk’ hairstyle). I’m deciding whether to give her some stockings or not, debating a weapon or instrument. Either way, she obviously doesn’t give a fuck how people see her. Not even the smallest one.
I want to make her some kind of super strong mutant.
Whatever, I think she’s cool.
As a general rule, when I try and make ‘steampunk’ characters if it’s not part of their occupation I never add goggles or any of the other steampunk staples. Random cogs on her belt won’t help her as a character.
wat.
Sorry it’s not ponies or cute and cuddly stuff.
